FLX2EASY 1.1 converts NMR matrixes created by the commercial software package FELIX (Biosym Technologies) to a format that can be read by the program XEASY (Xia and Bartels, Institute of Molecularbiology and Biophysics, ETH-Honggerberg, CH-8093 Zurich, Switzerland, 1993).

The current version has been updated to generate XEASY *.param files which correctly reflect the chemical shift referencing of the Felix matrix input file.

To receive a copy, choose the system you are currently using:

• Silicon Graphics IRIX

1. At a command prompt, type: % uncompress -c flx2easy101_[OS].tar.Z | tar xvf -
   where [OS] is the operating system you have (i.e., IRIX)
2. Go to the flx2easy directory and type make
3. To remove .o files, type make clean

• Type "flx2easy" filenm bitsize scale_factor
  • filenm = complete filename including extension of FELIX matrix
  • bitsize = "8" or "16" depending upon whether one wants to create an 8 or 16 bit XEASY data file.
  • scale_factor = value that each data point is divided by prior to conversion to XEASY data format.
• The program will prompt for any parameters not entered on the command line.
