This is a license for pipe2flx (copyright © 1998, Peter T. Lee and the University of Wisconsin. All rights are reserved.) This license is to be filled out by you (hereinafter referred to as the "LICENSEE"), and submitted to the National Magnetic Resonance Facility at Madison at the University of Wisconsin (hereinafter referred to as the "NMRFAM"). The application pipe2flx v. 1.03 (including executables, source code, documentation, examples, and any modifications or derivative works) is hereinafter referred to as the "SOFTWARE".

1. A non-exclusive, non-transferable license is granted to the LICENSEE to install and use the SOFTWARE on any approprate computer systems located at the LICENSEE's institution to which the LICENSEE has authorized access. Use of the SOFTWARE is restricted to the LICENSEE and collaborators at his/her institution who have agreed to accept the terms of the license.
2. NMRFAM and the author(s) of the software retain ownership of the SOFTWARE delivered to the LICENSEE.  Any modification or derivative works based on the SOFTWARE are considered part of the SOFTWARE and ownership thereof is retained by NMRFAM and the author(s), and are to be made available to NMRFAM upon request.
3. The LICENSEE may make a reasonable number of copies of the SOFTWARE for the purposes of backup and maintenance of the SOFTWARE.  These additional copies shall carry the copyright notice and will be controlled by this license, and shall be destroyed by the LICENSEE upon termination of this license.
4. The LICENSEE shall not use the SOFTWARE for any purpose (research or otherwise) that is supported by a "for profit" organization without the prior written authorization from NMRFAM.
5. The LICENSEE shall not disclose the SOFTWARE in any form to third parties without prior written authorization from NMRFAM.  If the LICENSEE receives a request to furnish all or any portion of the SOFTWARE to any third party, he will not fulfill such a request, and will refer the third party to NMRFAM.
6. BECAUSE THE SOFTWARE IS LICENSED TO NON-PROFIT ORGINIZATIONS FREE OF CHARGE, THERE IS NO WARRANTY FOR THE SOFTWARE, TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW. EXCEPT WHEN OTHERWISE STATED IN WRITING THE LICENSOR PROVIDE THE SOFTWARE ``AS IS'' WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. THE ENTIRE RISK AS TO THE QUALITY AND PERFORMANCE OF THE PROGRAM IS WITH THE LICENSEE. SHOULD THE SOFTWARE PROVE DEFECTIVE, THE LICENSEE ASSUMES THE COST OF ALL NECESSARY SERVICING, REPAIR OR CORRECTION.
7. IN NO EVENT UNLESS REQUIRED BY APPLICABLE LAW OR AGREED TO IN WRITING WILL NMRFAM OR THE AUTHOR(S) BE LIABLE TO THE LICENSEE FOR DAMAGES, INCLUDING ANY GENERAL, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SOFTWARE (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA OR DATA BEING RENDERED INACCURATE OR LOSSES SUSTAINED BY THE LICENSEE OR A FAILURE OF THE PROGRAM TO OPERATE WITH ANY OTHER PROGRAMS), EVEN IF NMRFAM HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
8. The terms of this license shall not be limited in time.
9. LICENSEE agrees that any reports or publications of results obtained with the SOFTWARE will acknowledge its use by an appropriate citation.
